The creators of the museum hope that the permanent publicly available expositions will help popularize the professions of a rescuer and a firefighter, patriotic education and early career guidance of the young generation of Russia. The main task set by the museum staff is to teach children and adolescents the basics of life safety in an accessible and interesting way. Children should know how to behave in an emergency and, if necessary, be able to provide first aid. And if in schools the subject of life safety consists mainly of "boring" theory, then in the museum of the Ministry of Emergency Situations the emphasis is placed on practical exercises.
The Museum and Educational Center of the EMERCOM of Russia includes several sites:
children's playroom,
professional,
exhibition,
memorial.
In the children's pavilion for the youngest visitors, training sessions on vocational guidance are held, videos on life safety and the history of the department are shown. Museum staff conduct master classes, quizzes and other interactive activities for children to promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as to show interest in the professions of a firefighter and rescuer. Young rescuers are taught the rules of first aid and are introduced to the professional features of the rescue business.
On a professional site, museum visitors can try on firefighter clothing, work with a hydraulic rescue tool and independently (but under the supervision of employees Ministry of Emergency Situations) extinguish the fire.
The exhibition area is an open-air exposition of samples of modern fire-fighting and rescue equipment in service with the Ministry of Emergency Situations. There is also a rare firefighting and rescue equipment.
In the filevsky museum center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, you can violate the main rule of most museums: "Don't touch the exhibits with your hands!" In this museum, you can climb into the cockpit of any fire engine or rescue vehicle, press all the buttons and turn the steering wheel, pretending to be a hero-rescuer. That is why all children are delighted with this new small museum.
A special place on the territory of the museum complex is occupied by the alley of heroes, dedicated to the memory of the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who died in the line of duty.
There is also a place for a mobile food point on the territory of the museum, so if you're lucky, you can try the porridge cooked in the field kitchen.
