Welcome to the sixth article in the Bathroom Design Guide series. Links to previous parts of the manual are located at. The topic of today's article is the shower area.
The shower area is the place where the person takes a shower. In the bathroom, it can be represented by one of the following images:
- Shower area and bath... If space permits, create both zones in your bathroom: a bath for relaxation, a shower for hygiene procedures. No compromises.
- Bathtub combined with shower... A compact option for medium and small bathrooms, where a bathtub is placed, but there is no place for a full shower. In the manual, I talked about it in more detail.
- Shower area without bath... Some people do not like to lie in the bathtub, which means buying it is completely unnecessary. Also, the bathroom may not have much space to accommodate a full bath, and the shower area with the same functions (hygiene procedures) significantly saves space ( the shower area takes up space on the floor from 80x80 cm, and the bathtub - from 150x70 cm).
The beauty of the shower area is that it can be created anywhere in the bathroom. To do this, you need to bring pipes with hot and cold water, as well as drainage into the sewerage system. Also, you have to decide if you want to purchase a ready-made kit (shower stall) or prefer to create a shower area yourself. In a ready-made kit, the number and location of various elements and functions is set by the manufacturer. In the second case, you yourself choose what and how will be located in the shower area: which elements are in demand for you, and which are completely unnecessary.
First, I'll talk about the basic elements, and then about the ready-made kits. The final choice is yours.
The shower area reminds small room, in which the mixer, shower equipment and a person taking a shower are located. It consists of two parts: hardware and shell.
Shower area equipment (filling):
- shower mixer (supplies and mixes water);
- shower equipment (receives water from the mixer and sprays it on a person).
Shower area shell (directly shower area):
- bathroom wall (a mixer and a shower are attached to it, as well as other elements requiring fasteners);
- pallet (collects water and drains into the sewer)
- shower enclosures (transparent or translucent glass or plastic construction designed to protect the bathroom from water).
The equipment supplies water, and the shell removes it from the shower area and does not allow it to penetrate outside of it. When choosing equipment and a shell, you need to comply with two conditions:
- The volume of incoming water should not exceed the throughput of the sewage system (so that water does not accumulate).
- The shell of the shower area should accommodate equipment, a person, as well as additional space so that a person is not constrained in movement (the minimum shower space in which an adult will be more or less comfortable to take a shower is 80x80 cm).
The creation of a shower area is rather schematic and exaggerated as follows:
- choose a place for the shower area near one or more walls;
- planning the type of shower equipment (external or built-in), supply water and buy a mixer and shower corresponding to the plan;
- planning a drain hole into the sewer and buying a shower tray;
- enclose the remaining uncovered space with shower enclosures.
I want to say again that this is an exaggerated and simplified model, which should not be taken as a direct guide to action, but it is quite suitable for understanding the process.

The shower faucet (aka shower faucet) supplies water to the shower area. Distinctive feature shower mixer - no spout like a bath mixer.
Bath faucet (left) and shower (right) Gessi rettangolo... The bath faucet has a spout, but the shower faucet does not.
Shower faucets can be wall-mounted and built-in, conventional and thermostatic. Let's sort everything out in order.
- Wall-mounted mixer... The control, housing and mixing element of such a mixer are located outside. Mixers of this type are cheaper and easier to install and replace. The wall-mounted mixer can also be used as a washcloth shelf.
Wall mounted shower mixer Grohe eurostyle cosmopolitan... Model 33590 002.
- Built-in mixer... For a built-in mixer, the control is outside, and the mixing element and connection are inside the wall. Such faucets are more expensive, more difficult to install and almost impossible to replace (only on a model from the same manufacturer), but they have one big plus: they do not take up space in the shower area, which will be especially important for a small space.
Built-in shower mixers Grohe eurostyle cosmopolitan... On the left - one shower, and on the right - two souls.
Both wall-mounted and built-in shower faucets can be either conventional or thermostatic. In a conventional mixer, you re-set the required water pressure and temperature from visit to visit. The thermostatic mixer allows you to set and maintain the temperature at the same level. That is, you set a comfortable temperature for yourself (manufacturers set 38 ° C by default) and in the future, on your next shower visits, you just turn on the water and adjust its pressure. The set temperature will be maintained, protecting you from unplanned contrast showers or scalding with boiling water.
The choice of a mixer for the shower area is the choice of the shower system as a whole. If you buy a wall-mounted mixer, then all shower equipment must also have an external connection using a shower hose. If you choose a built-in mixer, then only shower equipment that has a hidden connection is suitable for it.
Shower equipment
The task of the shower equipment (shower) is to spray the water received from the mixer onto a person. The wider the shower disc, the more efficient it is and the faster the shower will be. Shower equipment includes the following items: hand shower, overhead shower and shower nozzles. The hand shower is suitable for all types of mixers, and the overhead shower and shower nozzles are only for built-in models.

Shower equipment for wall mixers
Shower equipment for wall-mounted mixers is connected externally with a shower hose. The hose can be metal or plastic and is available in lengths of 1250, 1500, 1750 and 2000 mm. 99% of the manufactured hoses have a standard 1/2 ″ thread diameter at both ends and can be easily replaced with similar ones in the event of failure.
Shower equipment for wall-mounted mixers includes:
- Hand shower... Consists of a small hand-held watering can, a hose and a wall holder. The holder is fixed just above the head or next to the mixer. As the main shower, this design may not seem very comfortable. ( Read more about hand showers in the article).

- Shower bar... Consists of a hand shower, a hose and a rod with a holder. Unlike the previous version, the holder moves up and down the bar, thus you can adjust the height of the shower. The rod can be equipped with additional accessories (soap dish or shelf for a washcloth). ( Read more about shower sets in the article).
Shower set Axor uno.
- Shower column for wall-mounted mixers... Consists of a fixed, wide overhead shower and a hand shower. The hand shower can be attached to a holder (like a hand shower) or to a separate shower arm, depending on the model. If the shower set seems too simple to you, pay attention to this option.

- Shower panel for wall-mounted mixers... It also consists of an overhead shower and a hand shower, but unlike a shower column, it has a body. Some manufacturers complete shower panels with hydromassage nozzles, so if you want a wall mixer and a side shower (nozzles), then this is the only option for you.

All of the above equipment, based on the wealth of functionality, can be distributed as follows: shower panel> shower column> shower set> hand shower.
Pros and cons of shower equipment for wall mounted faucets:
- Pros: this equipment is easy to install and replace in case of malfunction, as well as change to new model if you are tired of the old one.
- Cons: Less flexibility in placement, as all shower equipment is located next to the mixer.
Shower equipment for built-in mixers
For built-in faucets, all communications are laid deep into the wall during repairs, which means that the number and location of equipment must be thought out in advance. But you are not tied to the length of the hose as with wall-mounted faucets, and you can position the faucet and shower as you like anywhere. Ceiling shower? Easily. Side shower in multiple rows? Why not. Hand shower two meters from the mixer? Easy (although no one does that, of course). The built-in mixer and similar shower equipment allow you to create a shower area that is perfect for you.
One built-in shower mixer can be connected to 1 or 2 showers, depending on the mixer model. If desired, you can connect 3, 4 or even more shower elements using additional adapters.
Built-in mixer Hansgrohe with hand and overhead shower. The dotted line marks the pipes connecting the various elements inside the wall.
It is very easy to get confused in shower fittings for built-in faucets. To prevent this from happening, we will divide all showers into three types: overhead shower, hand shower and side shower. Souls of the same type should not be duplicated.
- Shower set with adapter (combines overhead shower and hand shower)... Identical to the shower set for wall-mounted mixers. The hose is not attached to the mixer directly, but through an adapter and an internal hose. The shower set combines two showers: an overhead shower and a hand shower.
The shower set is an independent element and theoretically you don't need to buy anything for it, except for a side shower. This design can be considered a versatile economical option. The following shower equipment, although it can be used separately, is more often combined with each other, since it performs completely different functions.
- Hand shower with adapter... Exactly the same hand shower as the wall-mounted mixer. The only difference is that the hose is not attached to the mixer directly, but through an adapter and an internal hose. The hand shower is used for local body washing.
- Overhead shower... The overhead shower can be wall or ceiling mounted. It can be square and round, wide (rain showers), or narrow sports (as in some gyms). When the overhead shower is switched on, the water envelops the entire body at the same time. You do not need to hold anything in your hands (as is the case with a hand shower). You can just relax, close your eyes and think about something pleasant. Unfortunately, the overhead shower consumes a lot of water, so it is advisable to buy a hand shower for it (if you just want to wash your feet, then turning on the overhead shower will be too wasteful, and a hand shower will do just right).
- Side shower (shower nozzles)... Side showers are often referred to as hydromassage jets, side jets or shower jets. These are small shower elements located to the left and right of the mixer and directing the water horizontally to the floor. With their help, a water curtain is created that affects the whole body at the same time.
Let me summarize briefly.
The built-in shower system is a real constructor. The mixer is connected to the corresponding shower equipment by means of pipes embedded in the wall. You can choose a shower set or purchase an overhead shower + hand shower and optionally complement them with a side shower. At the same time, these are just two of the most popular options out of many possible.
Pros and cons of shower equipment for built-in faucets:
- Pros: The ability to create the shower system that suits you as much as possible, a variety of showers that perform different functions, as well as space savings in the shower area.
- Cons: difficulty in maintenance, the impossibility of replacing failed parts of the shower system with similar elements from another manufacturer.
Combined shower systems
If you read the previous paragraph on faucets and showers and found it too complicated and confusing, then I can offer you a simple and versatile option that suits most shower areas - a shower panel with its own mixer.
Shower panel Hansgrohe Raindance Lift with external mixer, overhead and hand shower.
The shower panel combines everything that I mentioned above - hand shower, overhead shower, side shower and other interesting functions depending on the model. Unfortunately, you still have to choose a panel with an external or built-in mixer, but the rest of the equipment will already be installed and configured.

We can talk endlessly about shower equipment. I didn’t talk about a tenth of interesting things for the shower area, but for the purposes of this guide, this is not required. It is important that you understand the very essence of choosing a mixer and suitable shower equipment, so that when you open a catalog with these products or come to a store, you understand what it is and what it is for, as well as whether you need what the seller offers you.
Shower area shell
At the beginning of the article, I said that the shower area consists of a mixer, shower equipment, a tray and fences. The first two elements make up the essence of the shower area, and I have already talked about them. The remaining two elements are the shell of the shower area. We will talk about it now.
The envelope of the shower area is a small room in which the mixer, shower equipment and a person taking a shower are located. It consists of several components: one or more bathroom walls ( a mixer, shower and other elements that require reliable fastening are attached to them), pallet ( collects the water coming from the shower and directs it to the sewer) and shower enclosures ( transparent or translucent glass or plastic construction designed to protect the bathroom from water).
Shower area walls and fences
The shower area should be based near one or more walls (not necessarily main walls). Walls are needed to install the mixer and shower equipment, as well as to support the fences. There can be from one to three walls.
- Shower area with one wall... A faucet, shower and shower enclosure are attached to this lonely wall. Such a shower area is called a wall shower area and is enclosed by corresponding wall shower enclosures, which can be closed or with a free entrance. A shower area with one wall is lighter than the others and visually appears to be lighter.
Wall mounted shower enclosures Duka... On the left is a closed shower enclosure, and on the right with a free entrance.
- Shower area with two walls... The double-walled shower area is a great space-saver in the bathroom. It is enclosed by corner shower enclosures called a shower enclosure. Shower enclosures can be symmetrical (photo below, left) or asymmetrical (photo below, right), in addition, they can be square, rounded and pentagonal, with a door or with a free entrance.
Corner shower enclosures Duka.
- Shower area with three walls... The shower area with three walls is a shower niche. It can be planned during bathroom planning or created from an existing niche of a suitable size. The shower niche allows you to place any shower equipment, including a steam generator (allowing you to create a steam bath from the shower area). Shower niches are fenced with special niche fences, which consist of one or more sections.

Having opened the catalog of any of the manufacturers of shower enclosures, you will meet a large number of various models, in which, at first glance, it is easy to get confused. I will write a few tips to immediately exclude everything unnecessary in catalogs and stores:
- Space in the bathroom... If the bathroom is small, consider corner options, if medium or large - wall models, if there is a niche in the bathroom - railings for the niche.
- Number of walls... Choose a fence depending on how many walls will be involved - one, two or three, and feel free to flip through the unsuitable options.
- Pallet shape... The shape of the shower tray and the shape of the shower enclosure must match. If the pallet has already been purchased, then select according to its shape (or you can do the opposite - find a pallet to fit the shape of the fence).
- Personal preferences... If you want a bright shower area, then it's better not to think about a niche and, on the contrary, the niche seems more protected and cozy.
Shower enclosures
I will dwell a little on shower enclosures, since we are already talking about. The shower enclosure is like a window. It has a frame, glazing and an opening element with a handle. All shower enclosures are built according to this principle with minor variations.
- Frame or hinges... The shower enclosure can be framed or hinged (frameless shower enclosure). This does not affect the durability of the structure in any way, only the price. With a frame it is cheaper, and more expensive with hinges.
Shower corners Ravak... On the left is the model with hinges ( Ravak GlassLine) on the right with the frame ( Ravak blix).
Shower tray
It remains to consider the last element of the shower area - the shower tray. It is located on the floor of the shower area and should occupy its entire area. Its task is to collect and drain water into the sewer.
The shower tray consists of a shower tray with a drain hole. Some pallets come with legs or a metal frame, others are floor-mounted without additional accessories. For a pallet, you need to purchase a siphon in order to connect it to the sewer.

Each pallet has a number of characteristics, the most important of which are the shape and diameter of the drain.
- Pallet shape... The shape of the shower tray forms the shape of the shower area. The pallets are square, rectangular, round, semicircular, quarter circle and pentagonal. A shower enclosure is placed on the shower tray, and the tray itself must fit snugly against the walls of the shower area, otherwise water will enter the opening between the tray and the wall.
Shower trays Kaldewei... 1 - Pentagonal pallet Kaldewei Cornezza, 2 - corner pallet (1/4 circle) Kaldewei Arrondo, 3 - rectangular pallet Kaldewei Duschplan, 4 - square pallet Kaldewei Superplan, 5 - round pallet Kaldewei piatto.
- Outlet diameter... The pallets are available with a drain diameter of 90 and 52 mm. This affects its bandwidth. The wider the diameter, the faster the water will leave the sump. When choosing a siphon for a pallet, be guided by this parameter.
- Pallet material... Trays, like baths, come from different materials: steel, cast iron, acrylic, artificial stone or ceramics. If you lie in the bathtub and touch the material with your whole body, then in the pallet you just stand and touch it only with your feet. Therefore, the choice of material is entirely based on your preferences. Cast iron, ceramic and stone pallets are heavy, monolithic, do not rattle or sag. Installed either directly on the floor, or equipped with legs. Acrylic and steel trays are lightweight, may make a little noise from falling water, they are installed on legs or on a metal frame.
- Pallet height... Pallets are available in different heights. Low trays can be built into the floor, and high ones can be used as a small bathtub for washing a baby. You can choose a shower tray of any height you like, based on personal preferences and the intended design of the shower area.
Shower trays Novellini different heights.
- Front Panel... High pallets can be equipped with a front panel (like a bathtub). It performs exclusively decorative functions.
- Anti-slip coating (Anti Slip)... The bottom of the pallet in steel and cast iron models can be covered with an anti-slip layer based on quartz sand. If you choose pallets from this material, then the presence of an anti-slip coating is imperative to avoid injury.
Shower area without tray
If you don't like the shower tray, then you can do without it. The shower enclosure is not attached to the shower tray, but only stands on it, which means that the shower tray can be easily excluded from the overall design by replacing it with a shower drain.
Shower drain TECE Drainpoint S from the directory of the same name. The picture clearly shows the device of the ladder. Outside there is a drain grate, and in the depths of the floor there is a siphon and a drain to the sewer.A shower drain is, roughly speaking, a siphon without a tray, installed in the floor. Water pours onto the floor, then concentrates in the area where the drain is located (the floor must have a certain slope) and is drained into the sewer. And although the shower drain is a little more difficult to install, but with its help you can create a completely different shower area than with a tray. Using the shower drain, you can make the floor in the shower area from any waterproof material of any color (the shower trays are mainly produced in white).
Shower enclosure Duka Libero 5000... Bathroom tiles fit into the shower area, making it more airy and open. That's probably all I wanted to tell you about the shell of the shower area. Let me summarize briefly.
- The shower area can be located against one, two or three walls. The shape of the pallet and the type of fences depend on your choice.
- The shower area should be able to accommodate you, shower equipment and additional space so that you do not have any difficulties in movement inside.
- You can create a shower area with either a shower tray or a shower drain, depending on the technical capabilities of the bathroom and your personal preferences.
Shower area accessories
Accessories for the shower area are optional, but they make the shower experience more convenient. For the shower area, you can purchase the following accessories:
- Soap dish... For the shower area, you can purchase either a glass or ceramic soap dish, or a metal lattice soap dish. Personally, I would not recommend fragile and breakable elements in the shower area (especially if it is not very large), but not everyone will like the metal grill, so the choice is yours.

- Towel rack... Choose more long models(from 60 cm) to fit a bath towel.

Shower cabin
Throughout this article, I have been telling you how to create a shower area from scratch from individual elements. But there is another way: the shower area can be in the form of a ready-made kit and called a shower cubicle.
The shower enclosure is a ready-made, assembled and factory-configured device that combines shower equipment and a shower enclosure. It consists of a shower tray, shower enclosures (can be equipped with a roof), a built-in mixer and connected shower equipment (top, hand and side shower, depending on the configuration).
Shower cabin Doctor Jet Century B.
The choice of a shower cabin is a choice of a finished product, you do not have to think about which elements to buy, how to combine them with each other and how to install. To install a shower stall, you need to choose a place (again, one or two walls in the bathroom), choose a shower stall of a suitable type (just like with fences), get an installation diagram and, according to it, carry out all communications. Then invite specialists from the service department and they will install your shower stall.
Agree, this is much easier than choosing, comparing and correlating everything with your own hands. But if everything is so simple, you say, then why was it necessary to write so much about the shower area? The shower cubicle and the individual shower area (let's call it that) consist of the same elements. Choosing an individual shower area, you will know what needs to be bought and combined, and when choosing a shower cubicle, you will understand what is written in the package and what it means. That is why I left the simpler version towards the end.
Types of shower cabins
- The form... The shapes of the shower cabins follow the shapes of the pallets I wrote about above. The shower cabin can be square, rectangular, round, oval, pentagonal and angular (1/4 circle). If you put the shower cubicle in a corner, you need a pentagonal or corner shower cubicle, and if you want to install it against one of the walls, then all other shapes will suit you.
- Color and material... Showers are mainly produced in white. You can find other colors in the store or in the catalog, but the main color is still white. The body and the shower tray can be made of acrylic or artificial stone, depending on the model. The choice of material is not so critical. You can proceed from the price, appearance and the shape of the shower cabin, and what it is made of is no longer so important.
Shower cabins Balteco... Left corner acrylic shower Balteco Delta, right rectangular made of artificial stone Balteco tetris.
- Filling... Shower cabins are equipped with their own mixers, various shower equipment, drain system and accessories. You don't need to buy anything else. Shower cabins have pre-programmed operating modes of the system (tonic effect on the body, relaxation, treatment), which is not available in individual shower zones. They can also be equipped with a steam generator, turning the shower cabin into a steam bath with a foot massager, seat, radio and audio player. All this can be installed in an individual shower area, but with great difficulties.
Pros and cons of a shower enclosure versus an individual shower area
- Functional... The shower cubicle has a number of unique functions, when choosing a shower cubicle, you choose its filling. At the same time, an individual shower enclosure will allow you to purchase only the functions that are in demand and to position the shower differently than in the cabin.
- Dimensions (edit)... A shower cubicle is a rather large element, which places high demands on the size of a bathroom. Not every bathroom can be fitted with a shower. Conversely, a custom shower enclosure is more flexible. It can be adjusted to fit the free space in the bathroom.
- Price... Although the issue is controversial, a shower cubicle is more expensive than an individual shower enclosure (and also due to the fact that you overpay for the many features that are included in it).
- Appearance. Showers are unchanged. On rare occasions, you can choose the color of the glass or case, but they are mostly produced in white. The individual shower enclosure has more quantity color solutions, and due to the shower drain, you can even use the bathroom floor without introducing additional colors.
The shower cubicle is expensive, oversized, and you don't have to decide anything. If you need functionality first of all, buy it. A custom shower enclosure with shower equipment will require thoughtful design from you, but at the same time you will create a shower area suitable for you with the necessary set of functions. If style and design of the bathroom is important to you, and basic shower functions are enough for you, create an individual shower area.

In many countries shower with floor drain has been popular for several decades, but here it is a new trend for bathrooms: shower cabins without a pallet (flush with the floor). Those wishing to modernize the bathroom will have a chance to take a shower comfortably even in old age.
Residents of the countries of Europe and America have been showing us for several decades how such shower with floor drain: a slight slope in the floor, a drain, a shower bar and a curtain - that's it, the shower is ready. Recently, such showers have become popular with us.
Floor-level showers are developed at the stage of the general construction project, according to which a sewer pipeline is laid and a monolithic floor is laid. But it is possible to build such a shower during a regular renovation. From the bathroom, located above the basement, the drain is led into the basement to the sewer pipe through the ceiling. The situation is more complicated with the bathrooms located above living rooms... In this case, the drain must be laid in the floor, which, however, is not possible with all floors.
Center gutter
The classic version: the shower enclosure is flush with the floor and slopes towards the center, where the gutter is located with a grid of approximately 10 × 10 cm.Rigid foam elements, laid with a slope, and a sewer siphon seal included in the kit simplify installation
Edge gutter
Floor gutters are not very common yet, but they are not expensive. Almost all models have to be built into a solid floor, so they are invisible and can be installed at the entrance or in the center
Most drain systems (whether they are based on rigid foam with a center drain or a shower gutter) are sold only in specialized stores. It can also be called a drain or shower drain.
Everyone who decided make a shower with a drain in the floor, must first check if there is enough space in the floor to sink the drain. For home craftsmen who decide to install such a shower on their own, it should be remembered that all joints between the wall, floor and drain must be waterproof.
The job can be done quickly and cleanly with a special waterproofing fiberglass canvas, laid on top of a layer of ordinary tile adhesive. Then the floor and walls can be tiled on top. But here each manufacturer has their own installation instructions.
1. A part of the gutter embedded in the floor rises above the base, since a plate of rigid foam with a thickness of about 4 cm will need to be laid on the floor. It will be closed with a concrete screed (ready mix is sold). |
2. The drain must be tight. Therefore, the joint of the drain neck with the monolithic floor is carefully sealed. |
3. The slope is already provided in the cover plate, which is installed with a small amount of assembly adhesive applied to the underside. |
4. The fiberglass seal between the shower element and the monolithic floor is sealed with ordinary tile adhesive. |
5. A fold in the corner provides a waterproof wall attachment. You cannot cut the canvas here. The fold is neatly glued to the wall. |
6. Thermal expansion is compensated for by means of a tile joint strip between the shower element and the monolithic floor. This prevents the seam from cracking. |
Installation of the drain gutter
1. The shower channel is calibrated and fixed with a level. The wall model is simply attached with two screws. |
2. The drain must be sized to receive a sufficient amount of water. Usually pipes with a nominal bore of 50 mm are used. If the connected siphon is smaller, an adapter is inserted between them. The pipe diameter must not be reduced! |
3. Every shower should have a waterproof floor. The safest way is to flip over the entire surface. Then the gutter is connected in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. |
What you can face when remodeling a shower
If the shower is not equipped immediately during the construction of the house, structural problems may arise. In houses with a basement, problems usually do not arise, but in old buildings the question is inevitable: where to place the drain? However, there is an emergency solution: raise flat shower surfaces by 10-15 cm so as not to touch the existing floor.
To install a rigid foam element or shower channel in a cast floor, a gutter must be hollowed out. Often it is necessary to cut a little and the concrete panel. In this case, you should first consult with an architect or structural specialist.
For joist floors, a flat-floor shower can only be installed if the drain runs parallel to the support beam and if the floor above the beam is thick enough.
Anyone who replaces an old shower tray with a flat-floor shower will have to replace the missing tiles and tile the floor connection. As a rule, there are no spare tiles. Possible variant: Create a mosaic pattern around the edge.
When choosing a shower, carefully study the siphon and the diameter of the drain connection. For example, if a large shower head is installed during the modernization, then a drain will be required, which can pass from 40 to 50 liters per minute. First, a slope of 2% is required (which corresponds to 2 cm / m). Secondly, you need a 50 mm diameter siphon connecting piece. It will cope with a volume of 0.8 l / s, which is equal to 48 l / min. The throughput of a pipe with a diameter of 40 mm is only 36 l / min.

At the moment, the design of the bathroom provides a wide variety of options. One of the most popular solutions is a shower cabin without a tray.
This model saves space, so it is perfect for rooms with different areas.
The modern design has the following advantages:
- Takes up little space, so the bathroom becomes spacious.
- Fits perfectly into the design of a city apartment and a country house.
- Looks stylish and attractive, which serves as an additional decoration of the bathroom.
- Easy enough to clean, you just have to clean the floor and glass fences.
Glass shower enclosures without a pallet can be installed both in private houses and in public areas... Such designs are ideal for decorating a locker room in the pool, gym.
Compact designs look great in hotels. Guests will be able to take a shower in a comfortable way, and the staff just need to clean the bathroom every day.
Advantages of a shower cabin without a pallet
Bulky shower enclosures equipped with trays are a thing of the past. Such solutions take up a lot of space, which is quite inconvenient, for example, for small apartment... The design takes up almost the entire bathroom.
Housewives also note the difficulties associated with the constant washing of the pallet. You have to devote a lot of time to cleaning, which is not easy for the townspeople who are busy at work.
Manufacturers offer modern shower enclosures without a pallet, which have the following advantages:
- They are easy enough to mount.
- No special threshold is required.
