Gazprom's mission is to efficiently and reliably supply consumers with high-quality natural gas and other energy resources, as well as their processed products. The main value and advantage of the company is its employees. Therefore, serious attention is paid to creating the most safe and comfortable working conditions.
Work at Gazprom. Salary
It is clear that people working in the field of extraction, processing and distribution of energy resources cannot earn little money a priori, so comparing their incomes with the salaries of public sector employees is pointless. An engineer’s salary here will be many times higher than that of his colleague in another company.
The attractiveness of employment in one of the largest gas corporations in the world is determined, first of all, by high material income and social guarantees. According to statistics, every third Russian would dream of working for Gazprom, and the position is not particularly important.
The salary calculation system installed in 2013 will be in effect until 2018. According to it, Gazprom has the highest salaries in Russia. An engineer's salary varies from 37,500 to 70,000 rubles. A novice specialist does not earn as much as people assume. But most of the salary consists of bonuses, bonuses and other additional payments.
Salary in numbers from the head of a corporation to a handyman
For 2016, according to the latest data, the monthly income of one of the most expensive and successful Russian managers and head of Gazprom, Alexey Miller, is 12 million rubles. In total, the company has 17 leading managers, and the average monthly income for each is more than 12.5 million rubles. Quite impressive amounts, but ordinary hired workers have no less decent monthly salaries at Gazprom.
- middle manager – 300,000 rubles;
- head of the district administration - 100,000 rubles;
- head of the work area - 200,000 rubles;
- foundry foreman – 80,000 rubles;
- secretary - 120,000 rubles;
- handyman – 80,000 rubles;
- cleaning lady – 25,000 rubles;
- cook - 35,000 rubles.
The amount of payments is affected by the position held, length of service and territorial location. Thus, the highest income is among workers in the North of the country and employees in the administrative department, which is located in Moscow. Of course, for a region with high level life and wages will be higher than in the outback.
Based on the fact that the cost of living in each region of Russia is different, it is impossible to accurately determine the amount of income, but there is no significant difference, because salaries at Gazprom are strictly regulated by the staffing table. In total, the company employs 400,000 people.
Gazprom has the highest salaries
The average monthly income here has always been the highest in Russia. So, in 2015, Gazprom employees received 110,000 rubles, in 2012 – 95,000 rubles, in 2008 – 44,000 rubles.
The global gas giant provides big choice specialties, those who really want to work and believe that they will succeed. Competent specialists with interest and desire can count on obtaining promising work.
Everyone understands that working in such a large company means a professional team, career growth, self-realization, confidence in the future and prestige.
Salaries at Gazprom are also indexed annually according to inflation. For 2016, salary indexation was 7.5%.
Financial interest is strongly fueled by the company's reporting of contributions allocated to charitable foundations and holidays, which, by the way, are held on a significant scale.
Stability and additional allowances
The company makes only “white” payments on time. Regardless of size wages and position, each employee receives annual paid leave, women maternity leave 3 years. The cost of vacations at resorts in Russia, Belarus, and Armenia is also reimbursed. Provided that no more than 92,000 rubles were spent on it.
Salaries at Gazprom can seriously increase due to bonuses and other special allowances and bonuses:
- for a birthday;
- on Defender of the Fatherland Day;
- on International Women's Day on March 8;
- for Gas or Oil Worker's Day;
- bonus “for special services” – 250,000 rubles.
Starting at age 50, a month's salary is added to your birthday.
Work in the North
As a rule, this is work on a rotational basis, and it is associated with difficult working conditions, therefore, in addition to the regional coefficients, “polar” allowances are added to the salary. These additional payments are not accrued immediately and not to everyone. Thus, a new arrival will receive only a regional coefficient of 70% in addition to the basic salary, and for each month worked 10% of the “polar” allowances, that is, after 6 months - 60%.
Newcomers will receive less than similar specialists with experience. Salaries at Gazprom in the North range from 87,000 to 188,000 rubles.
Periods of crisis
Last year was not easy for Gazprom:
- oil prices fell;
- the ruble exchange rate has decreased against world currencies;
- gas supplies to Ukraine and Europe have decreased;
- The sales market has shrunk.
These events did not have a significant impact on income. Gas is imported abroad for foreign currency, and it is always growing. Therefore, translated into Russian rubles average salary at Gazprom has not changed. Moreover, often the workers themselves, who receive 50-70 thousand rubles, complain that such a salary does not correspond to the difficult conditions in which they work. Also, according to employees, the social package is gradually being reduced. Payments for hazardous work have been reduced, and hourly production rates have decreased.
Nevertheless, Gazprom is a striking example of a stable, successful Russian company that has experienced both ups and downs in the history of its development, but has achieved recognition at the global level.
The corporation has its own sports sections, medical institutions, kindergartens and schools for its employees, where they can use the services for free. Two years ago there were rumors about a serious staff reduction in the company by 15%. All these speculations were refuted by Mr. Miller in 2016. Moreover, the head of Gazprom said that the staff will, on the contrary, expand.
The company has enough resources to ensure a stable level of income for its specialists, who have been working for decades and are dedicated to their work.
Economist. More than 15 years of experience in finance. Date: December 17, 2018. Reading time 5 minutes.
The average salary in the company is 112.9 thousand/month, but top managers make a significant contribution to this figure. In 2017, 17 members of the corporation’s board divided 3.3 billion rubles among themselves. The salary of ordinary employees depends not only on qualifications, but also on local increasing coefficients. A significant portion of the income comes from bonuses.
Working for Gazprom is a symbol of a successful career for many Russians. True, the myth of high incomes is usually supported by data on the earnings of top managers, rather than ordinary employees. From this article you will find out what salaries different categories of employees receive at Gazprom and whether it is true that working in this company is so profitable.
average salary
Information on average salaries is published annually in financial statements companies. According to data for 2017, Gazprom employees received an average of 112.9 thousand rubles. Compared to 2016, the figure increased by 7.6% or 8 thousand rubles. It is noteworthy that wages grew faster than inflation, which amounted to 2.5% over the same period of time.
However, over longer periods of time, the increase in income seriously lagged behind the increase in prices. In 2010, the average salary in the company was 81.2 thousand rubles. Over 7 years, employee income grew by only 39%, while cumulative inflation was 62.8%.
However, the average salary is not the best indicator of the financial well-being of workers. Multimillion-dollar bonuses for top managers affect this figure more than the modest income of an accountant or electrician. To get a more accurate picture, let's look at the salaries of different categories of workers.
Management salary
The current activities of the company are controlled by the board - a collegial body consisting of 17 people. The corporation's reports publish only data on the total income of top managers. According to documents for 2017, the amount of salaries and bonuses of all members of the board amounted to 3.3 billion rubles. As a result, each manager received an average of 194 million rubles.
It is noteworthy that wages account for only about 50% of all payments. The other half consists of bonuses and various bonuses. A similar system is used when calculating remuneration for lower-level employees, but salary usually takes up a larger share of total income.
Important: the head of the company Alexey Miller earns even more - about 700 million rubles. in year. However, such a high figure is due to the presence of other sources of income not related to Gazprom.
What salaries do Gazprom specialists and workers receive?
PJSC Gazprom is a corporation with a complex structure and big amount branches. According to documents, almost all employees work at subsidiaries located in different regions of the country, including Moscow and St. Petersburg. For this reason, job listings usually contain the names of branches rather than the parent company. Further in the article, figures from vacancies of subsidiaries united by a common owner, PJSC Gazprom, will be presented.
Important:The company indicates in vacancies the salary according to the “salary + bonus” system. Reviews from employees on the Internet show that these figures roughly correspond to reality, and sometimes can be even higher.

For cities located in the north, the figures from the table should be multiplied by the local regional coefficient. For this reason, working in remote branches of Gazprom can be more profitable than in warm Krasnodar or even Moscow. Let us give examples of increasing coefficients for regions in which large branches or fields are located.

The salaries of shift workers - drillers, engineers, drivers and other employees working in gas fields - deserve special attention. Often, vacancies include impressive amounts, reaching 188 thousand per month. But online reviews refute this information. According to people who worked shifts at the fields, real income rarely exceeds 70 - 80 thousand per month.
Please note that the vacancy lists do not include major management positions. The reason is that the company hardly attracts managers and directors on the open market, preferring to promote its own employees. Large managers work under contracts that are concluded on individual terms. The remuneration of such employees is measured in hundreds of thousands of rubles per month.
Awards and privileges
Relatively high employee incomes are achieved through regular bonus payments. The average Gazprom employee receives 25–35% of their salary in the form of additional bonuses. Until recently, many employees received large bonuses up to 6 times a year. Such an impressive number of bonuses were formed by quarterly and annual bonuses, as well as payments for major professional holidays.
Gazprom has decided to reduce the period of payment of corporate pensions for employees from 20 to 15 years after dismissal from 2019. This is due to the growing number of pensioners, cost optimization and government pension reform
Gazprom will change the rules for paying corporate pensions for former employees. Two retired Gazprom employees told RBC about this, and this was confirmed by two current managers of the company. A Gazprom representative did not respond to RBC's request.
According to one of RBC's interlocutors, over the past five years, the payment period for corporate pensions for Gazprom employees was 20 years from the date of dismissal.
Work experience at Gazprom, which gives the right to receive a corporate pension, must be at least 15 years. Previously, pensions were paid for life. It ranged from 10 to 40% of a specialist’s earnings and depended on length of service in the company, awards, position and other merits.
About five years ago, these payments were limited to 20 years from the date of dismissal, and now they have decided to reduce them to 15 years, adds RBC’s interlocutor. “Those who are granted a pension before the end of 2018 will receive it for 20 years, those who are granted a pension from next year and later will receive it for 15 years,” said one of the sources. According to him, the tightening of the rules is caused by an increase in the number of pensioners, cost-saving considerations and an increase in the retirement age at the state level. The government has decided to gradually, starting in 2019, increase the retirement age for women from 55 to 60 years, and for men from 60 to 65 years.
The Gazprom Group expects to make payments in the amount of 42.1 billion rubles. under pension plans in 2018, according to the company’s IFRS reporting for 2017. In addition to pensions, employees receive lump sum allowance upon dismissal. The amount of remuneration provided depends on length of service, salary in last years, preceding retirement, a predetermined fixed amount or a combination of these factors. The reports indicate that on average such corporate pensions were paid out over a period of 19.3 years.
Gazprom will increase employee salaries by 4.6% in 2019
One of Gazprom’s subsidiaries, Gazprom Georesurs, decided to completely stop transferring funds to the NPF Gazfond for corporate pensions for its employees from July 1, 2018, sources told RBC. This decision was made as part of the implementation of the monopoly’s order dated December 28, 2017 “On measures to increase operational efficiency and reduce company costs in 2018,” they explained. The order separately stipulated that the abolition of corporate pensions would not affect current and former employees of the company for whom pension contributions had been transferred by the end of June 2018 or “there were grounds for their transfer.”
According to two employees of Gazprom Georesurs, in early July the company held a meeting where it was announced that corporate pensions would be abolished for future retirees. The average size of the Gazprom corporate pension for Gazprom Georesurs employees is 5-10 thousand rubles. per month, for managers - 20 thousand rubles. and higher, one of the sources said.
In 2018, Gazprom also did not approve the indexation of pensions for the next year, says one of RBC’s interlocutors. In 2018, according to him, the indexation of pensions amounted to 1.8%, and salaries were increased by 3.7%. In 2019, the monopoly planned to index wages by 4.6%, sources told RBC.
