Există leproși în Letonia?

...Cred că mulți vor fi surprinși dacă vor afla că ultima colonie de leproși din Letonia a fost închisă destul de recent - abia în 2007. Înființarea în orașul Talsi a fost ultima nu numai în republica noastră, ci și în statele baltice în ansamblu.
Ce este lepra sau, în termeni științifici, lepra? Acest boala infectioasa, care este cauzată de microbacteria Mycobacterium leprae Mycobacterium lepromatosis. Afectează pielea sistemul nervos, căile respiratorii, mâinile, picioarele. Poate fi prins cu ușurință în regiuni periculoase ale lumii. Agentul cauzal al leprei, sau așa-numitul bacil Hansen, a fost descoperit de medicul norvegian Hansen în 1873 și a devenit primul microb patogen descoperit de omenire. Această boală ciudată este menționată chiar și în Vechiul Testament. Când o persoană are o tumoare, lichen sau punct alb, asemănător cu un ulcer lepros, urma să fie adus la marele preot Aaron sau la unul dintre fiii săi... Marele preot a cercetat rana. Dacă părul de pe el s-a alb și a intrat mai adânc sub pielea corpului, era un ulcer lepros; preotul care efectua examinarea trebuia să declare necurat corpul persoanei. Uneori, pacientul a fost închis timp de șapte zile pentru a se asigura că ulcerul nu se schimba sau nu se răspândește pe piele...
În esență, timp de multe secole lupta împotriva leprei a fost o poveste de distrugere morală și fizică a bolnavilor. Leproșii erau îngropați de vii în pământ, arși pe rug, aruncați în chei și înecați în râuri. Astfel, în 1321, în provincia franceză Languedoc, 600 de oameni au fost arse într-o singură zi, dintre care jumătate aveau lepră. Restul erau doar suspectați de această boală teribilă.

În 1985, erau peste 5,2 milioane de pacienți în întreaga lume. Până în al doilea deceniu al secolului al XX-lea, numărul pacienților, datorită noilor medicamente, a scăzut cu peste 90 la sută.
În 2012, OMS a numărat 181.941 de leproși. Potrivit datelor oficiale, din 103 țări din cinci regiuni ale OMS, prevalența globală raportată a leprei a fost de 180.618 cazuri în 2013, cu 215.656 de cazuri noi raportate în același an.
Principalele centre de distribuție: India, Brazilia, Birmania și unele țări africane. Sunt încă o mulțime de leproși acolo. Un semn caracteristic este absența unui nas și a altor părți ale corpului. Se pare că aproape orice turist leton se poate infecta cu boala Hansen.
În Evul Mediu, lepra era considerată un semn al diavolului. În Europa, s-a răspândit foarte mult în timpul campaniilor cruciaților. La scurt timp după ce s-au întors acasă din Orientul Mijlociu și Țara Sfântă, mulți dintre ei s-au îmbolnăvit.
Au fost plasați cu forța în colonii de leproși, care au fost deschise peste tot. Oameni nefericiți au fost trimiși acolo pentru totdeauna (!), tăiați de pe lista celor vii. Pentru membrii familiei erau morți. A existat chiar un tribunal special care a condamnat o persoană la moarte. Pe de altă parte, numai datorită unor măsuri atât de stricte a fost posibilă oprirea răspândirii groaznicei boli, care a fost descrisă în Biblie. Nu degeaba lepra este numită uneori boala Sfântului Lazăr; acesta este unul dintre personajele biblice care a fost vindecat de Isus Hristos. Iar lepra a fost oprită cu ajutorul medicamentelor abia la mijlocul secolului trecut - după inventarea antibioticelor puternice.
În Letonia, ultima persoană bolnavă de lepră a fost înregistrată în 1981. Bunicul fetei era bolnav. Se pare că i-a transmis infecția „prin moștenire”. Și în fiecare an apar 200 de mii de cazuri noi în lume.
Fața de „leu” a lui Viktor Iuşcenko

Colonia de leproși este închisă!
ÎN sfârşitul XIX-lea secol pe teritoriul Letoniei de astăzi, o parte din Imperiul Rus, au existat mai multe colonii de leproși: în Cesis, Bauska, Tukums, Arlava. Lepra în Irlanda

Gerhard Hansen și Raoul Follero
Două persoane au jucat un rol important în istoria acestei boli. Gerhard Hansen, un medic norvegian, este renumit pentru că a descoperit agentul cauzal al leprei în 1873. El a anunțat descoperirea Mycobacterium leprae în țesuturile tuturor pacienților, dar nu i-a recunoscut ca bacterii și a primit puțin sprijin din partea colegilor săi. Mai târziu s-a dovedit că lepra micobacteriilor are proprietăți similare cu tuberculoza, dar nu sunt capabile să crească pe medii nutritive artificiale, ceea ce a făcut dificilă studiul leprului.
„Sfântul Francisc al secolului XX” a fost numele dat lui Raoul Follero, un poet, scriitor și jurnalist francez care și-a dedicat viața luptei împotriva leprei și a discriminării celor afectați de aceasta. În 1948 a fondat Ordinul Carității și în 1966 Federația Asociațiilor Europene de Lepră.
Datorită lui, din 1953, Ziua Mondială a Leprei este sărbătorită pe 30 ianuarie. Într-un alt fel, această dată se numește „Ziua Drepturilor Leprei”.

Contrar prejudecăților
Lepra nu se transmite prin simpla atingere a unei persoane bolnave și nu este întotdeauna fatală. Doar aproximativ 10% dintre cei expuși la boală se îmbolnăvesc efectiv. Majoritatea oamenilor au nivelul necesar de protecție imunologică împotriva agentului patogen.
Infecția apare în principal din cauza contactului prelungit cu pielea directă, mai rar prin inhalarea bacteriilor care intră în aer din cavitatea nazală sau gura pacientului. Există versiuni conform cărora doar 30% dintre oameni sunt sensibili clinic la lepră și că boala în sine este determinată genetic. Lepromatoasă- afecteaza pielea unde se inmultesc micobacteriile, determinand formarea unor noduli numiti leproame. Se formează treptat pliuri mari, iar pacientul dezvoltă o „față de leu”. Când leproa se dezintegrează, nasul se deformează și falangele degetelor încep să cadă. Aceasta este cea mai severă și malignă formă a bolii.
Tuberculoid- sunt afectate în principal pielea, nervii periferici și uneori organele interne. Leziunile cutanate sunt insensibile, asimetrice și de culoare maro-roșcată. Lepra tuberculoidă este de 40 de ori mai puțin contagioasă decât forma de lepră.
Există, de asemenea, o formă limită a bolii, care de obicei se dezvoltă într-unul dintre cele două tipuri principale. Forma juvenilă de lepră apare la copii și se exprimă în multe puncte neobservate de pe piele. Forma nedefinită este cea mai favorabilă - pe piele apar mai multe pete, dar după câteva luni petele dispar, ca și cum boala dispare de la sine.
Pentru a face un diagnostic precis pe fundalul semnelor clinice, se efectuează întotdeauna examinări bacterioscopice și histologice.
Tratament și prevenire personală
În anii 50 au intrat în practică medicamentele sulfonice care asigurau recuperarea după 2-8 ani de tratament. Medicii au acum în arsenalul lor medicamente eficiente pentru tratamentul leprei și cu diagnosticarea în timp util, boala este complet vindecată. Dar durata cursului durează în medie aproximativ trei ani. O persoană este tratată fie într-o colonie de leproși, fie la locul său de reședință, dacă este stabilită absența unui agent patogen.
Prevenirea leprei presupune respectarea atentă a regulilor de igienă personală. Potrivit însuși Gerhard Hansen, curățenia și săpunul sunt principalii dușmani ai leprei.
Astăzi, lepra nu este o boală larg răspândită, dar, conform OMS, aproximativ 11 milioane de oameni suferă de ea în întreaga lume. Pe de o parte, problema mortalității și a răspândirii leprei a fost rezolvată, pe de altă parte, este important să ne amintim de existența acestei boli. Și astăzi problema diagnosticului târziu este relevantă datorită faptului că medicii au început să uite de posibilitatea apariției unor cazuri individuale de lepră. Mai mult, boala duce la invaliditate severă în 42% din cazuri, iar dacă nu sunt tratate, pacienții cu o formă gravă a bolii mor în decurs de 5-10 ani.
Lepra este considerată o boală exotică, dar aproximativ zece milioane de oameni din lume suferă de ea. Ca și în Evul Mediu, purtătorii de lepră se stabilesc departe de oameni, de obicei înalți în munți. Mânat de curiozitate, am ajuns în colonia de leproși Terek. Aici a fost scrisă celebra carte „Leproși”.
Țară mică
Conducem mult timp pe un drum acoperit de zăpadă la altitudine mare. Pentru kilometri în jur nu există o singură locuință. Colonia de leproși Terek se pierde în munții din Teritoriul Stavropol. A fost creat acum o sută șapte ani de un preot local, printre ai cărui enoriași se aflau mulți leproși. Pe parcursul existenței sale, colonia de leproși s-a transformat într-un sat întreg cu propriile fundații și tradiții.
Colonia de leproși este împărțită în trei părți - clădiri rezidențiale, spitale și curți administrative. Despre el a fost scrisă celebra carte „Leproși” de Georgy Shilin, peste care plângeau bunicile noastre. Contrar decretului de interzicere a contactului dintre oamenii sănătoși și cei infectați, autorul a locuit aici la începutul secolului trecut. De atunci, puține s-au schimbat: s-au ridicat doar clădiri noi moderne, cu gaz și canalizare, și au apărut monumente - două lui Lenin și două angajaților leproșilor care nu s-au întors din război.
În total, în sat sunt 32 de case - clădiri cu cinci etaje și clădiri spitalicești. Iată-l pe al tău grădiniţă, care este frecventată de treizeci de copii. A fost o școală, dar apoi a fost închisă. Acum copiii din sat sunt duși în cel mai apropiat oraș - Georgievsk - pentru a studia. Profesorii de acolo nu au leprofobie - sunt obișnuiți cu asta. Și copiii nu sunt periculoși - acum în sat nimeni sub patruzeci de ani nu suferă de lepră.
Această țară mică de bolnavi de lepră are și propriul spital de psihiatrie, în prezent găzduiește șase pacienți. Există gratii la ferestrele acestei clădiri, iar ușa este încuiată. Pentru intreg Uniunea Sovietică Secția de psihiatrie pentru „farsori” era doar aici și toată lumea a fost adusă aici. După prăbușirea țărilor CSI au cerut: „Renunțați la bolnavii noștri”. Au dat-o, dar specialiști de profil asemănător au rămas doar aici.
Astăzi, aproximativ o mie de oameni trăiesc în colonia de leproși Tersky. Dintre aceștia, doar o sută douăzeci suferă de lepră. Restul sunt medici, personal de serviciu și pur și simplu oameni care nu au unde să locuiască. Unii dintre ei și-au petrecut întreaga viață aici și habar nu au ce se află dincolo de granița satului.
Președintele Satului Leproșilor
Medicul șef al coloniei de leproși este Mihail Gridasov, care combină prima persoană într-o singură persoană institutie medicala, șeful administrației și președintele acestei stranii așezări.
„Avem propria noastră ambulanță”, spune el, „un serviciu de pompieri și gaze, tot ce rămâne este să instalăm patru turnuri, să ridicăm un steag, să creăm un imn și statul este gata”.
(Apropo, în „Leproși”, unul dintre pacienți și-a exprimat și ideea de a crea o stare pentru bolnavii de lepră. După câteva sute de ani, ideea lui a prins practic viață).
Îl întreb pe director cum a ajuns aici, cum a îndrăznit să-și piardă o viață plină izolându-se într-un sat de leproși.
„Da, sunt din localnici, m-am născut și am crescut aici”, recunoaște Mihail Ivanovici zâmbind.
„Tu... părinții tăi... ai suferit de lepră”, mă decid în cele din urmă să întreb la ce mă gândesc.
„Nu”, medicul șef nu este deloc jignit de întrebare, „părinții mei s-au stabilit aici după război, în 1947, tatălui meu i s-a oferit un loc de muncă. Sincer să fiu, când am studiat la Institutul Medical din Harkov, am ascuns cu grijă colegilor mei că am crescut și am trăit pe teritoriul unei colonii de leproși. Când m-am căsătorit, am vrut să mă stabilesc în Georgievsk, dar mi-au dat locuință aici, așa că am rămas.
Împreună chiar și după moarte
Împreună cu Mihail Ivanovici coborâm în curtea spitalului, situată sub partea principală a satului. Aerul de aici este atât de curat încât începi să te simți amețit din obișnuință. Stepanida, în vârstă de 60 de ani, ne însoțește. Nici măcar nu poți spune de la ea că este leproșă. O bunică motorie înflorită în galoșuri pe picioarele goale și o haină deschisă vorbește cu voce tare despre cât de urâți au devenit bărbații, iar acum nu mai este pe nimeni de găsit pentru suflet, așa că trebuie să tratăm tristețea „amară”. „Dar sincer, am terminat”, își face cruce, privind cu devotament la medicul șef. Stepanida este un alcoolic cronic. Sub tot felul de pretexte, deja încearcă să nu-i dea pensie în bani, pentru că ea bea totul până la ultimul ban, dar îl schimbă imediat cu un produs naturist într-un magazin local.
Nu există o graniță clară între curtea administrativă și cea a spitalului, precum și linia care desparte aici pe cei sănătoși de cei bolnavi. Trecem pe lângă clădirea unui cinematograf modern. Există un cimitir lăsat în lateral. Pe parcursul a o sută șapte ani, a crescut foarte mult și acolo au fost îngropați atât cei sănătoși, cât și cei bolnavi.
„Medicii noștri, chiar și după moarte, nu sunt separați de pacienții lor”, glumește cu tristețe medicul șef. „Fiecare dintre ei trebuie să ridice un monument pentru a-și dedica viața acestor oameni și pentru a nu se teme de aura neagră care înconjoară lepra. Toți cei cu care comunică în afara satului, auzind de colonia de leproși, aleargă imediat în panică să se spele pe mâini. Aici lucrează doar reprezentanți ai dinastiilor medicale: ei le-au succedat părinților și bunicilor. Asistenta șefă, Maria Ivanovna, a lucrat timp de 48 de ani. În familia asistentei Galina sunt patru generații de medici: bunica ei, mama, Galina însăși, iar acum fiica ei s-a întors acasă după studii. Toată viața - cu aceiași pacienți, dar încercați să îndurați toate plângerile și mofturile lor! Apropo, avem cea mai mare speranță de viață din lume pentru bolnavii de lepră.
„Desigur”, mă gândesc în sinea mea. „Cu așa și cu atât aer!”
Artist fără brațe
Primele clădiri ale coloniei de leproși au căzut de mult în paragină și sunt acum folosite pentru nevoile casnice. În apropiere s-au ridicat șase clădiri de clădiri moderne de spitale.
Camerele de spital sunt mai mult ca camere de cămin sau apartamente obișnuite. Oamenii trăiesc aici (sau mai bine zis, supraviețuiesc) ani de zile, așa că își aranjează viața cât pot de bine. Fiecare cameră are televizor, covoare, portrete și icoane pe pereți, perdele îngrijite, dulapuri decorate cu figurine de porțelan.
Tablouri în ulei uriașe, frumos pictate, atârnă pe coridoare peste tot. Au fost create de un artist local. A pictat cu pensule legate de cioturile mâinilor. Dacă nu era boală, ar fi primit o educație demnă de talentul său, poate că ar fi devenit unul dintre cei artiști celebri modernitate. Dar acum lucrările sale, finalizate cu puțin timp înainte de moartea sa, sunt cunoscute doar în colonia de leproși, iar principalii cunoscători ai geniului său sunt bolnavii de lepră.
Nu este singurul, toată lumea de aici nu este o persoană de succes în societate. Nu au avut timp să-și descopere și să-și aplice talentele. Cei care au venit aici la o vârstă mai înaintată au rămas cu amintiri: unul a fost odată un pilot virtuos, altul a fost jurnalist, iar un negru, celebru gazdă de radio, a fost odată tratat.
Stigmatul de a fi un proscris
Simptomele clinice ale leprei (traduse din spaniolă ca lepră) sunt descrise în Biblie. Această boală străveche rămâne încă una dintre cele mai puțin studiate. Ei spun că lepra este o pedeapsă pentru păcatele strămoșilor noștri. Oamenii de știință au stabilit că bacilul Genza, răspânditor al bolii, este transmis prin picături în aer în timpul contactului prelungit, dar numai dacă o persoană are o predispoziție genetică la această boală. Adică dacă una dintre rudele lui a suferit de asta.
Primele semne sunt pierderea sensibilității țesuturilor, o persoană poate fi opărită cu apă clocotită fără a simți durere. Apoi manifestări ale pielii, ulcere trofice, „față de leu”, pierderea membrelor și orbire. Persoana pare să moară în părți, putrezind de vie.
De la existența omenirii, leproșii au fost persecutați. Herodot a scris despre aceasta în secolul al V-lea î.Hr. Au fost uciși cu brutalitate sau, prevăzuți cu zăngănete și clopote, au fost escortați în afara lagărului în viață, până la moarte sigură.
Chiar și în perioada sovietică, tratamentul în coloniile de leproși era mai degrabă ca izolarea pe tot parcursul vieții a pacienților de societate. Și astăzi, această boală este însoțită de o frică străveche, genetică, greu de învins.
Anterior, în Rusia existau paisprezece colonii de leproși, acum sunt doar patru - restul au fost închise ca fiind inutile. Jumătate dintre ele sunt situate în Districtul Federal de Sud.
Când comunici cu bolnavii de lepră, apare un sentiment amestecat: amândoi sunteți curioși și vă pare rău pentru ei, în același timp este înfricoșător să vă uitați la ei, ca într-o menajerie. Mulți dintre ei ar putea trăi în afara coloniei de leproși Terek, dar boala nu îi lasă ușor „liberi”. Ei sunt de temut, fiecare are o experiență negativă de viață liberă asociată cu hărțuirea și blestemele. Ei se ascund aici nu de boală, ci de oamenii obișnuiți.
Nu li se interzice să aibă copii, nu li se aplică măsuri contraceptive (cum se practică în cazul bolnavilor psihici). În marea majoritate a cazurilor, copiii se nasc sănătoși. Anterior, au fost separați cu forța de părinți și trimiși la un orfelinat special.
Familiile de leproși
„Nu, nu vom comunica, avem rude de rang înalt, oameni celebri, așa că nu va fi nicio senzație”, îmi strigă în față bunicul meu, la a cărui înfățișare lepra a muncit din greu, și își mișcă umărul spre ieșirea din cameră.
În această cameră locuiesc Noskovii, probabil cei mai agresivi rezidenți ai coloniei de leproși. Există o mulțime de astfel de Noskov în orice societate, nu numai printre bolnavii de lepră. Oamenii mi-au povestit deja despre acest cuplu sunt mereu nemulțumiți de toate: îngrijire, mâncare, personal medical, vecini. Ba chiar și-au pregătit mâncarea individual, și chiar și atunci s-au plâns, au scris denunțuri tuturor autorităților de multe ori, iar colonia de leproși a fost supusă unor controale nesfârșite. Furia a fost agravată de banii care au dispărut în timpul neîndeplinirii obligațiilor și au fost băgați într-o carte de economii după vânzarea unui apartament din oraș.
Majoritatea locuitorilor coloniei de leproși își creează familii între ei, iar după ce au rămas văduvi, se reunesc. Coreeanul Boris și-a infectat odată soția, ceea ce nu i-a împiedicat să aibă nouă copii. Acum are deja paisprezece nepoți. Și-a îngropat soția și acum locuiește într-o colonie de leproși cu o altă femeie, văduvă. Ei nu consideră că este necesar să semneze, doar își îndepărtează bătrânețea.
Leprolove
Margarita Mikhailovna se apropie de 70 de ani. La fel ca majoritatea pacienților, nu are sprâncene sau gene, o mască de „leu” este înghețată pe față, iar unele dintre degetele ei s-au transformat în cioturi. Cu toate acestea, ea își tricotează haine calde, țesea covoare drăguțe, perne brodate la fel ca persoana sanatoasa Nu am putut.
Toată viața ei este o tragedie completă. Când pe corpul tinerei au început să apară pete albicioase, ea era sigură că acestea erau consecințele unor imagini teribile ale războiului: în fața ochilor fetei, naziștii ucideau oameni. Multă vreme au încercat să o trateze pentru malarie și sifilis. Când au aflat despre ce fel de boală este vorba, a devenit cunoscută și o tragedie familială: la vârsta de doi ani, Rita a fost luată în plasament dintr-un orfelinat. Adevărata mamă a fetei s-a dovedit a fi lepră, a murit imediat după război.
Rita a trăit într-o colonie de leproși timp de zece ani, a fost tratată și externată. Dar viața în afara leprozarului nu a funcționat: a fost imposibil să găsești un loc de muncă, vecini „cu inimă bună” au încercat să-i incendieze apartamentul și l-au umplut cu soluție dezinfectantă. Și s-a întâmplat și asta - șoferul a oprit autobuzul în care mergea Margarita și a declarat: „Asta, vino, coboară” și a dat-o afară fără să asculte plângeri.
Așa că Margarita Mihailovna s-a întors să locuiască în colonia de leproși. Aici m-am căsătorit pentru a doua oară. Dar apoi soțul meu a plecat la o altă femeie, tot bolnavă de lepră. Este neplăcut să-i vezi în fiecare zi, dar nici ea nu vrea să se întoarcă în oraș: este bântuită de teama constantă că cineva îi va vedea picioarele, mâncate până la genunchi de lepră, și proteze în loc de picioare.
- De ce ne urăsc și se tem de noi? – îmi pune ea o întrebare retorică. - La urma urmei, boala noastră nu este din beţie sau dependenţă de droguri, nu din desfrânare.
Numai deputaților nu le este frică de ei - leproșii sunt același electorat. Politicienii locali sunt bucuroși să vină în campanie.
Vechi ai coloniei de leproși
Baba Marusya a fost aici cel mai mult timp. Are 84 de ani, dintre care 65 locuiește aici - din 1939. Lepra nu a cruțat-o pe bunica mea: a orbit cu mult timp în urmă, acum patru decenii, i-a fost deprimat nasul, iar cruste monstruoase i-au desfigurat întregul corp. Dar bunica nu se pierde inima: are grija de ea, spala si curata.
Mama ei a suferit și ea de lepră, a murit în anii douăzeci ai secolului trecut. Baba Marusya a supraviețuit soțului ei, iar acum nu mai are rude.
Alla, care locuiește în camera alăturată, și-a îngropat recent soțul, dar rezistă bine. Ea poartă îngrijit machiajul și folosește creme de față. Femeia face fotografii cu plăcere, ascunzându-și cochet mâinile, asupra cărora lepra și-a lăsat amprenta. Este imediat evident: această persoană este un optimist și nicio problemă din viață nu o poate arunca în stupoare.
La vârsta de opt ani, Alla și-a opărit picioarele fără să simtă nicio durere. Mama ei suferea și de lepră, așa că diagnosticul era evident. Alla a ajuns într-o colonie de leproși, în ale cărei ziduri a crescut. Ea și soțul ei au călătorit în afara ei pentru prima dată la vârsta adultă - pentru a-și vizita fiul care locuia în orfelinatîn Labinsk.
Fiul a crescut și din singura lumină din fereastră s-a transformat într-un coșmar constant pentru părinții săi. Dacă a venit, a fost să-și ia pensia, iar în ultima sa vizită a furat bani. Soțul lui Alla s-a certat cu fiul său și l-a pălmuit în față pentru prima dată, iar după aceea s-a îmbolnăvit și a murit curând. Fiul nici măcar nu a venit la înmormântare și a dispărut cu totul. Alla se îngrijorează de copilul ghinionist (care, însă, are deja vreo patruzeci de ani), îi este dor de el și, în același timp, nu-l poate ierta pentru furtul, care a provocat moartea soțului ei.
„Am născut singură”, oftă ea. „Nimeni nu are nevoie de mine acum”, zâmbetul prietenos de pe chipul ei cedează brusc loc unei grimasă de suferință, lacrimile curg de sub ochelari cu lentile optice mari, „și nimeni nu are nevoie de noi înșine, nu locuim aici, ci trăim afară. viețile noastre, suferim noi înșine și îi torturăm pe alții.”
Tac șocată, iar asistenta mă scoate repede din cameră.
Suntem expuși riscului de lepră?
În prezent, lepra a devenit o boală exotică și chiar a fost uitată din cauza răspândirii sifilisului, a SIDA și a tuberculozei. Cu toate acestea, astăzi în lume, conform diverselor surse, între 3 și 15 milioane de oameni suferă de lepră.
Recent, rezidenții din alte țări care intră în țara noastră pentru rezidență permanentă au fost testați pentru lepră. Și așa este, crede personalul coloniei de leproși, nu ar trebui lăsat să scape de sub control: „Dacă lași lepra să plece, clopotele vor apărea din nou”.
S-ar părea că datorită dezvoltării medicina modernă, poți uita pentru totdeauna de boala monstruoasă. Dar, conform observațiilor leprologilor, răspândirea sa este influențată în mare măsură de factori socio-economici. După o perioadă de incubație de 10-15 ani în medie, după războaie și diverse dezastre naționale, s-a înregistrat o creștere a bolii de lepră. În regiuni atât de nefavorabile în mod tradițional, precum regiunile Volga și Astrakhan, se înregistrează anual noi cazuri de lepră. Anul acesta, după o lungă pauză, s-a înregistrat lepra Banda din mijloc Rusia.
Astăzi, nimeni nu poate garanta că mâine nu va fi un nou focar de lepră cauzat de șocurile economice de la începutul anilor 90 ai secolului trecut. Așa cum spun chiar și leprologii: „Lepra s-a născut odată cu omenirea și va muri odată cu ea”.
Probabil că nimeni nu trebuie să explice cine este un lepros sau un lepros. Acestea sunt persoane care suferă de lepră - o boală cronică infecțioasă severă care afectează pielea, sistemul nervos, ochii și unele organe interne. Acest cuvânt a venit în limba rusă din limba latină târzie, unde sună ca lepros, care este în consonanță cu latinescul leprosorium.

Istoria leprei

Deci, în secolul al XIII-lea, potrivit lui Matei din Paris, un istoric englez, benedictin, cronicar, numărul leproșilor din Europa era de 19 mii de oameni. Prima cunoscută a fost colonia de leproși Sf. Nicolae din Harbledown, Anglia.
În Evul Mediu, un lepros sau lepros era o societate sortită morții într-un chin teribil. O astfel de persoană a fost plasată într-o colonie de leproși, aparent pentru a fi vindecată. Dar, de fapt, a fost o carantină din care rareori cineva a reușit să iasă în viață. Cert este că lepra se transmite prin secreții din gură și nas în timpul contactului frecvent și apropiat cu oamenii. Și în colonia de leproși, contactele sunt mai mult decât strânse și dese.
Lepra în lumea modernă
În anii 90 ai secolului trecut, numărul leproșilor din lume a scăzut de la 10-12 milioane de oameni la 1,8 milioane Lepra se răspândește în principal în țările tropicale, unde natura a creat condiții potrivite pentru viața microbacteriilor. Deși incidența a scăzut, boala este încă destul de răspândită în India, Nepal, părți din Brazilia, Tanzania, Mozambic, Madagascar și vest. Oceanul Pacific. Cartea „Leproșii”
Oamenii care sufereau de această boală au devenit și eroi ai operelor literare. Astfel, în 1959, romanul lui Georgy Shilin „Leproșii” a fost republicat. Cartea descrie viața într-o colonie de leproși. Trebuie spus că autorul însuși a vizitat de mai multe ori acest stabiliment, vizitând acolo un prieten bolnav și chiar a locuit acolo.
„Leproși” este o poveste despre soarta mai multor oameni care au ajuns într-un singur loc - într-o colonie de leproși. Fiecare poveste te atinge și te zguduie până la miez. Există destul de mulți eroi, dar caracterul fiecăruia este unic - este dificil să te confuzi în ei.
