What's happening? Joyful children in fancy dress are running through the streets. Among them there is Batman, and a witch, and the devil, and ghosts, skeletons, the murderous maniac Freddy Krueger and so on. These children go from house to house, from apartment to apartment, shouting “Trick or Treat” (“gift or curse”) in order to collect as much candy and other gifts as possible. Pay attention to the buildings children enter. They also look kind of strange: glowing skulls and pumpkins in front of houses; skeletons and images of witches and black cats on the doors and windows... In the center of the city there is a “haunted house”, which is easily recognized by the inhuman screams coming from it and the endless line of people wanting to get there, both adults and children. Surely somewhere nearby you will see a group of children or teenagers enthusiastically discussing what they just saw in a “haunted house”: a bloody body in a bath of blood; a killer maniac with an ax in his hands who had just been chasing them; the body of a dead man hanging in a closet; a pot boiling on the stove filled with parts human body. And in different parts of the city at this time there are parties: in houses, clubs, schools and even in some churches. The parties are also different from the usual ones: fortune-telling using cards and coffee grounds, playing with a fortune-telling board, seances after watching the latest horror film. You probably have a question: what is happening? The answer is simple: Halloween. Most people consider this holiday to be harmless fun. But behind the Halloween mask lies thousand-year history demonic evil, directly related to the occult and Satanism.
BRIEF HISTORY OF THE HOLIDAY
The early pilgrims of this continent were well aware of the occult roots of Halloween. FYI, they have banned Halloween celebrations in America. In the United States, this holiday was outlawed until 1845. After that year, America was flooded with Irish immigrants who fled Europe after the so-called Potato Famine of 1845-46. They brought with them the ancient Druid holiday - Halloween. Over time, the celebration of Halloween spread throughout the country and continent. But to understand the meaning of Halloween, you need to delve even further into history. I was able to discover that in the original this holiday was called completely differently. It originated among the Celtic peoples (Bretons, Gauls, Scots and Irish) long before the birth of Christ. These peoples had a tradition of celebrating the end of summer by making sacrifices to their god Saman (So-vein). He was "the lord of death and evil spirits." On this day the beginning of the Celtic New Year was celebrated.
1. ADDITIONAL FACTS FROM THE HISTORY OF HALLOWEEN
Ralph Linton, in his book Halloween Through the Ages, writes: “The American tradition of Halloween has its roots in Scottish and Irish folklore and can be traced back centuries to pre-Christian history. The first celebrations date back to the times of the Druids, who worshiped Saman, the lord of death, whose festival fell on November 1.”
Other sources indicate that the Celts considered November 1st as the day of death because the leaves were falling from the trees, the days were getting shorter, the sun was setting earlier, and the air temperature was plummeting. They believed that their sun god Mac Olla was beginning to lose power due to the increasing power of the lord of death Samana. In addition, they believed that on October 31, Saman collected the spirits of all those who died in the past. last year. They, according to their beliefs, inhabited the bodies of animals as punishment for their evil deeds. On the eve of the festival in honor of Samana - that is, October 31 - these spirits were allowed to return home and visit those who were alive. In order to protect people, Druid priests conducted devilish ceremonies of worship of dark forces, during which horses, cats, black sheep, buffaloes, and also people were sacrificed. They were placed in separate cells and burned entirely. This was all done with the aim of pleasing Samana and protecting himself from evil spirits. Historically, Halloween is a pagan tradition and a day of occult worship. There is nothing Christian about it.
Now think for a moment about what is the direct focus of this pagan holiday? Personally, I see this holiday as promoting three things:
(1) Death, (2) Fear and horror; (3) Evil, the devil and the occult.
There is not a drop of Christianity in all this.
2. ORIGIN OF THE NAME “HALLOWEEN”
Where did the name of the holiday come from - Halloween? As mentioned above, earlier this holiday had a completely different name: “Saman’s Vigil.” In ancient Britain, Saman was called So-vain. How did this holiday acquire its current name - Halloween?
This happened thanks to an attempt to Christianize this pagan holiday. In the year 800 BC, Roman Catholic Church moved the official "All Hallow's Day" from May to November 1. And soon a tradition arose to call the eve of this day Halloween. However, it should be noted that the Christianization of the pagan holiday of worship (the Celts' New Year celebration) was unsuccessful. Halloween does not promote the Lord Jesus Christ as Christmas and Easter do. Quite the contrary, the person being celebrated on Halloween is the devil.
Halloween and modern occultists
CERTIFICATE No. 1.
It is very important to understand that the celebration of Halloween today is not much different from Halloween in ancient times. This day is still an occult holiday today. Phil Phillips, in his book Halloween and Satanism, writes: “Halloween is a day that witches celebrate more than any other day.” Is there any confirmation of Phillips's words? Yes! “The Maine State Penitentiary allowed members of the Sunset Coven to hold a two-hour service on Shaman's Day (Halloween) to celebrate the Druid New Year. The founder of the coven publicly stated the following: ‘This day is the time to glorify our lord and lady for the bountiful harvest.’ He also shared that 75 members have joined their religion since the founding of the Sunset Coven in 1981." (This is part of a report from Observation magazine for November 1987, section “What’s going on in the world!”).
But the most convincing evidence that modern witches and witches celebrate Halloween, are their own words. To the question “Does anyone celebrate Shaman’s Day (Halloween) as religious holiday? most witch organizations responded with this: “Yes, many followers of pagan religions, such as Druids and Wiccans (witches), celebrate this day as a religious festival. They treat it as a day of remembrance for dead friends. This is a night of various kinds of fortune telling and asking the dead about the future. It is also the night for the implementation of new projects" (from the article "Cult Watch Response", October 1988, vol. 1, no. 1).

Modern witches and Satanists still worship demonic gods and goddesses, perform unimaginable rituals, including sexual ones, and some groups sacrifice animals and even people.
Here is what the famous New Age religious researcher Tex Marrs said about the activity of witches during Halloween: “Our research confirms that on this unclean night (Halloween) there are witches’ Sabbaths, drinking bouts, dancing, spewing curses and spells, sexual orgies, accepting new members into its composition, as well as sacrificing people and animals. (Witches have become experts at covering up their tracks after sacrifices, using mini-crematoriums and deep graves located on private land plots members of the coven)". He continues: “Every year in different parts of America, children are expected to be abducted by witches in the run-up to Halloween. Your children may not be at risk.
However, each of us needs to be vigilant and sensible.” Jack Roper, occult researcher from the H.A.C.I.I. (Christian Apologetics: Research and Information Center) said: “The time of year in which the most large number Satanic rituals and offenses, is Halloween."

David Benoit talks in his article about a mother who accidentally discovered her son’s personal diary, which was called “The Book of Shadows.” With fear and trembling, she opened the notebook, covered with satanic drawings and symbols. A few minutes later, her gaze settled on the following phrase: “Last year on Halloween, I stole someone’s car and killed a child by running over him with all four wheels. I plan to do the same for Halloween this year!” The words of this satanic diary turned out to be true. The teenager is currently serving his sentence in a maximum security prison for killing a child as a sacrifice to Satan.
Halloween is the day of evil. This holiday glorifies and honors Satan, promotes idolatry, debauchery, demonic rituals and human sacrifice. Halloween is not a holiday that I would like to celebrate. I'm 100% sure we would never see Jesus at a Halloween party. And the celebration of this day in churches is an abomination and blasphemy against our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 10:20 that “when the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. But I don’t want you to be in communication with demons.” That is why I am bringing to light the truth about what Halloween truly is - the day of Satan.
History of costumes
Where did the tradition of wearing Halloween costumes come from? The ancient Celts had a tradition: On the night of October 31 to November 1, Druid priests made a sacred fire from oak branches. On this bonfire they burned animals, part of the crop, and human sacrifices in honor of their sun god Mac Olla and the god of death Samana. During these devilish ceremonies and rituals, people had to be dressed in costumes and masks made from animal skins. They had to practice fortune-telling, peer into satanic signs during burning sacrifices, jump over fire, and also dance and sing obscene songs. All this was done in order to supposedly drive away evil spirits.
The 11th publication of the Encyclopædia Britannica (Volume 12, page 8578) states the following: “The Druids believed that on the eve of the Celtic New Year (November 1), the death god Saman collected the sinful souls that had lived in the bodies of animals for the last 12 months.” Saman sends these evil spirits to attack people before November 1st. The only way to avoid their attacks was to dress up in incredible costumes - that is, to try to take on the appearance of evil spirits (Christianity Today magazine, October 22, 1982, p. 32).
In my opinion, these “evil spirits” must be infinitely stupid if they can be so easily deceived by such a masquerade. The sad thing is that the fools in this story are not the evil spirits, but the superstitious idolaters who refused to worship and glorify the true God. As a result, what happened to them was described in Romans 1:21, “But because they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God and were not grateful, but became futile in their speculations, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”
As you can see, scary costumes have their demonic roots. Therefore, I would like, according to the advice of the Apostle Paul, to “deny the works of darkness and put on the weapons of light” (Romans 13:12).
To be continued...
